The Foundation has a staff of 5 and a volunteer base of more than 80 individuals who annually donate more than 7000 hours in office, outreach and patient assistance support to the organization.
AICF interns are part of the staff and work on several projects during the year that can be finalized based on expertise and interest. AICF is dedicated to providing a meaningful experience for interns and can tailor the internship to focus on the interns' interest.
| The potential projects for 2006 are: |
1. Cancer Screening Programs
Conduct outreach for the :
Free Mobile Mammography Program
Assist volunteers and attend some of AICF's 150 sites
Develop and design volunteer and community leader handbooks in print and electronic forms, create PowerPoint or other presentation materials
Assist in the design and development of a survey instrument to measure the strengths and weaknesses of the program and assist in compiling the results from a sampling of the 5000 women who will be screened.
2. Fundraising:
Conduct Internet and Foundation Center and telephone prospect research and assist in grant writing.
Identify health care and other sponsors for AICF"s third annual International Roundtable -assist in press relations and logistics.
3. Public Relations:
Conduct surveys and evaluations.
Design a public relations plan for AICF's programs, identifying appropriate media outlets, drafting press releases, following up with media and creating press kits for programs.
Provide support and editorial content for AICF's website.
