The cure for cancer cannot be found without your support and investment. Your generous donation is a significant factor in helping the Foundation search for a cure for cancer through programs of international education, medical research and community services.

Will my gift make a difference?

Yes! Every gift, no matter the amount, makes a tremendous difference to AICF's programs. The Foundation operates very efficiently. In its 2000 audited financial statement, AICF's operating and fundraising expenses were significantly less than the national standard: 92% of income is dedicated to program support as compared to the National Charities Information Bureau standard of 60%.

To do its work, the American-Italian Cancer Foundation needs support from caring individuals, foundations and corporations in the US, in Italy and around the world. Every gift is important to us and every gift makes a difference in the fight against cancer. Consider the ideas below or contact us so that we can work with you to structure an appropriate tribute or legacy.

How can I make my gift count?

• Donate cash or securities to AICF's operating funds (securities held for more than one year provide significant tax advantages for those who file US taxes).
• Consider a Gift Annuity - a form of planned giving that allows you to earn income in the form of a fixed payout on a gift to the Foundation.
• Leave a legacy by remembering AICF with a bequest that assures your continuing support.

International Education and Cooperation

• Honor a loved one by funding a named two-year fellowship supporting the research of a promising young investigator.
• Sponsor a traveling fellow to attend an international conference.

Community Services

• Underwrite the purchase of a new mammography van in honor of a loved one.
• Dedicate a day to a loved one on AICF's mobile van at a community site.
• Make a donation to support AICF's public information campaign "Early Detection Saves Lives."
