AICF Volunteers

Much of the Foundation's work would be impossible without our volunteers. Over 80 strong, they provide sensitive, caring outreach at breast cancer screening sites, distribute educational materials, interpre for patients who speak foreign languages, and reassure women waiting to be screened. They also provide the majority of the highly labor intensive work needed to support our special events, thus enabling the Foundation to direct the vast majority of the funds raised through these efforts to our programs.

Join our Volunteers

Each year, the American-Italian Cancer Foundation relies on the generosity and support of its volunteers who together donate more than 7000 hours annually. There are many ways that you can join our outstanding volunteer group. At the Foundation, we believe in miracles and we depend on the miracle of individuals who are willing to take time from their busy lives to help in the important work of the Foundation.

How you can help

Community Services: Dedicate a day to reaching out to underserved men and women in New York's underserved neighbors by volunteering on our mobile cancer screening van.

Development or Fundraising: Last year, AICF's volunteers sponsored a raffle to support a fellowship. Join in the organization of other new and exciting events, such as a golf tournament.

Recruit Interns and other Volunteers: Lives change, people move, yet the need for the Foundation's programs and services grows. Help us find outstanding undergraduate and graduate school students who will work for the Foundation as part of their college internship programs. Help us reach out to new volunteers who have the time, energy and commitment to help others.
